The Road Back

The designated driver, and the road from war to peace.

The Story

From service to songwriting, told honestly.

Get in Touch

Veterans, families, and listeners who want to share their own road.

The story

The body broke.
The songs survived.

Chapter One: The Driver

Musical Soldier has traveled enough of the road back from hell to recognize somebody walking. So he pulls over. He offers part of the ride: a song, a story, company, an hour of listening.

The Silence

There is a night the album refuses to narrate. Part I stops, and then Part II exists. That existence says survival without exploiting the worst hour.

Chapter Two: The Passengers

The stories that come next belong to the people who ride along. The "I" in those songs belongs to someone else. Musical Soldier listens rather than speaks over them.

The stairway to Heaven doesn't mean anything. It's the road back from hell that leads a man from death back to life, and music is the vehicle. Musical Soldier
